Cisco ATA

An ATA is an Analogue Telephone Adaptor & essential if you want to keep using analogue hardware such as;

PSTN phone system

Fax or multi function machine

Security on a copper line

Eftpos

Accessories

When the NBN is rolled out to your premises you have approximately 18 months to Local Number Port (LNP) your analogue lines. This is mandated between Telstra’s Copper Network & the NBN. If you do not LNP your copper/PSTN line within the time frame (18 months) then you will permanently lose your numbers.

We have had experience with a number of “recommended” or “leading brand” ATA’s & through much trial & error not on our part we will only support two brands if you want to keep analogue technology;

TP-Link VG 5612 NBN – with 2 inbuilt ATA’s preconfigured & supported by iPacific

Cisco ATA SPA 122 – supports 2 ATA.

Cisco ATA SP8000 – supports 8 ATA.
